Kelowna is located on the shores of Okanagan Lake in the southern interior of BC. It is the largest city inthe Okanagan Valley with an estimated population of approximately 142,000 including the surrounding areas of Westbank, Winfield, Oyama and Peachland.

Some of the amenities and attractions that Kelowna, the "four-seasons playground", has to offer include several championship golf courses, internationally acclaimed wineries, and world-class ski hills. With hiking, swimming, boating, and fishing all available within a short distance from downtown, Kelowna is a popular destination for tourists and those looking to relocate to the Okanagan Valley.

Temperatures in Kelowna range from an average daytime high during July and August is 27.40 C, to an average daytime high during December and January of -0.30 C. The average low in December and January is -7.70 C. Kelowna has approximately 2,000 hours of sunshine annually with just over 11 inches of rain. Total annual precipitation including snow is 366.4 mm.
